I think I'm gunna have to give up the crown :(. I didn't think there were that Monty's sold, let alone all in the one country! What is it with these poms? They all have to own about five VG 414's each (Sandy has three) and I can't get hold of one? My day is ruined....... ???
Welcome aboard Montman. My pathetic collection includes.... 2X VF 414's, H7 250 and a VR. Sad I know.
I'm off to kick the dog..... :-[

Hey Montman, your garage/collection wasn't featured in a Pommy magazine last year was it?

Welcome aboard, we'll help you scratch your itch ;D and give you sympathy and support for your affliction :-*.

(I have a VB360 in resto, and various other Monty bits which may amount to something in the future ::))

Thanks guys bikes never been featured in any mag but did put 4 in a classic bike show just over a week ago, bikes are not concours as pocket not that deep but still up to show standard.5 bikes are up and running the others i am rebuilding back up after many years in shed but they are all there. One thing i have never seen on other cappras over here is the rubber boot that fits over the kickstart knuckle the ones with the M stamped on them, mine all have them as i picked up about 12 some years ago from a mont dealer that was all he had.Have put modern rear mudguards on bikes i think they look a lot better they don't cost as much ;D.Have got ohlins on some corte coss on some and a pair of AVAX shocks on one they were purchased from belgum in 1979 for me when a sidecar crew went over there to race in an international meeting, the belgum works riders were useing them i can' remember the price but they cost more than any other shocks at that time they work great.I might sell some of the 250 pistons and some of the 414/360 piston rings.By the way its great to have a forum like this to be in touch with other monty nuts ;D ;D.

Welcome montman, I am only new at this myself but it's been a lot of fun so far although a bit addictive also. I have raced Monty's in the past and still have a bit of a soft spot for them.
Anyway I hope you have abit of fun on this Forum.

Regards Stan.

Hi dot bet you wish you still had all those monts would be worth a lot of money now i am thinking of geting some early monts as well as the 79/80/81's iv'e already got, will always have a soft spot for monty's.I have also got a 1990 yz250(from new) 2002 kx250(MJ CHURCH bike) and 2006 rmz450 (ex Ivan Tedesco bike) the suzuki 450 is the bike i am racing at the moment, the yz250 did two seasons racing then i parked it up in the shed hence now needs tarting up,the kwak 250 was so fast with a power band that would pull itself out of your arms which it did to me one a few occasions.
