Noel,
Did you have to modify the Air-boot between the carb and the Air box, or did the i.d. of the air boot fit the Mikuni 34mm.
what was the standard carb on the bike.
My RS 125 GS came with a Bing and the air boot for the Bing won't fit a Mikuni carb.

What are my options for repairing the dings in the frame tubes running under the motor.

Like to find out what other forum members have done?

Fill the dings by brazing and them shaping by sanding, is that an option?

Husqvarna / Hows this for a bargain, and what could have been.

This Husky tank didn't meet the reserve a few days ago, got up to US$710.00 and has been relisted and now the bid is a fly shit under US$950.00

Back in '83 when Huskys were going to plastic tanks for the '84 models, I have heard that they took all the alloy tanks they had at the Husky factory and crushed them with a bulldozer, they would be worth a mint now.

There was no thought of restoring the '82 and '83 Huskys back then.

You get a donor YZF 450 frame when you blow up the motor and it's going to cost NZ$8,000 to have it repaired. Don't you just love 2 Strokes, how many times could you rebuild a 2 stroke for that amount of money.
The quote from the magazine Dirt Rider DownUnder reads " He was given a quote of $8,000 for the repair job..... "

Twinshock Trials / Re: World trials round Maldon Vic

An excellent event with all the top guys, even saw Dougie Lampkin there too, he's was wearing a manufactures bib and checking the scores at the end of each section, must have something to do with Gas Gas, after retiring from World Trials before the start of the season. I even got a chance to hold on to Adam Raga's Gas Gas at the start of Section 3 on the final lap on Sunday afternoon, his mechanic ask me to hold it while he checked the tyre pressure so I got James to take a pic for prosperity (he's the son of friend, the five of us drove 18 hours from Brisbane).

Wouldn't miss it, there are four travelling down form Brisbane, staying in Bendigo and already have the early bird passes that Trials Vic. sent out this week. It will be amazing to see the best in the world and the first time in Oz.

So what about a small blower on a 2 Stroke motor for forced induction and direct injection.

Have any of you seen a 2 stroke diesel motor with a blower. Without a a cut out in the air intake these motors would rev to destruction. I experienced this a a young guy, they rev.

Ok, so the expansion chamber helps remove the exhaust gases. Then why is there no expansion chamber on a Yamaha 2 Stroke outboard with HPDI?
