woohooo bigtime, the local boys done good!!,top spot, top tracks, top time had by all, scenery was bloody seriously distracting, missed a lot of markers riding out alongside the dams upper reaches, just sensory overload summed it up for me,someones gods got a weird sense of humour, swear this huge rock near the start was a goriilla;s face,or easter island moa looking out over the water (no, not been drinking ::)),a lot of huge round boulders,at least the trees & the grass tracked focussed your attention, narly little rock climbs (& bloody stumps to rearrange gear lever postions) single track rythym sections just flowed throught the scubby trees, dust wasn;t too bad, masked the tricky bits on the floor if you followed too close to rider in front though,(wasn't a problem for me  ;))cant wait for the pictures, few new faces, lots travelled big distances, bench marks pretty high now for the rest of the year, bring it on, :P

but the yam rods still 10 mm too long, std early 90's XR400 piston has lower deck height than XL's piston, thats why i use wiseco  XR ,it's higher comp in XR,but normal in XL use,not sure what the deck height actually is,but it might help, are the pin sizes the same, mabe a yamaha piston might work too??, :P
ina b/end bearing with outer sleeve?,bore/grind the honda rod to suit??,no need to reharden?
