Realise its not everyone's cuppa tea but I reckon that would change a bit after you had a fang on one. This model is about $2500 and there is a cheaper model that does 60kmh and one with a mx seat and no pedals

Tech Talk / JIS screwdrivers
« on: May 10, 2016, 10:51:37 pm »
Never knew this until recently , that Japanese has a different standard for Phillips head screws called JIS. The JIS screw head has a very small corner radius and flat end compared to normal Phillips heads. Explains why it is so easy to munt one of the larger JIS head screws with a normal Phillips head screwdriver. Vessel and Hozan seem to be the main brands of JIS screwdrivers.

Built up an extensive collection of OEM style connectors (as well as bullet and spade) , a mountain of various coloured wire and loom tape. Should be able to replicate most looms from a sample.

Anyone who didn't go missed a awesome day out at BSFoS, 350 entries probably 5000 spectators and heaps of trade displays(MYPLATES a clear winner). Seen a few familiar faces and got to meet and chat with some living legends and sneak a touch of one iconic 500cc bike Steve Wheatman's Lucky Strike XR89 RGV 500 and the only running (til it nipped a cylinder) RGB500 XR14 with 4 pea shooter pipes. Which could be heard any where it was on the track. As Molly used to say "Do yourself a favour...." next year I have it on good authority will be a Latin theme and a iconic V6 endurance race bike will be making an appearence.
(pics to follow)

Ooohh I almost forgot, a replica of the Bell Motostar 3 has been made available at MCA
