Ok thanks for clarifying that for me Walter. I'll go with the yellow background. As for the later frames, the rules aren't clear enough regarding use of frames for pre 85. Also unless a scrutineer inspector picks it up, who would know what frame is being used and is it their job to check frame eligibility? It is however up to the entrant to prove that the frame and engine is legal. It is hard to find information regarding some of these boarder line frames. But in the case of a title, pre 85 is pre 85. Simple.

Who knows the correct machine identification colours for sidecars? I was using black numbers on yellow background but I was told to use black numbers on white background. I can't find anything in the rules regarding sidecar ID colours. I think most are using black on white which is not on the list.

It must be a common problem. My KDX175 does the same thing. Haven't had a chance to look at it yet but the first thing I will do is strip and clean the carbie. Only started it once since I bought it for $600.00

Unfortunately' YAM 270 can only do 270deg cams, not 277deg unless I supply a core to copy. Never mind I will put some pressure on my supplier. Then I will have one to copy in the future.

My entry is in. I am confident that I will have a camshaft by then. Very disappointing when you order a camshaft in NOVEMBER and they say pick it up in three weeks, then it's still not started in FEBRUARY.WTF? Just saying

Although I am Swinging this time Jackie, I am looking forward to this event. It is a very good cause. My engine is still under re-construction so I can't take the EML. You will be in for a treat though with Matt's Wasp going around the dirt track. It will be pleasing to the ears.

Yungy. I also would love to have a go on a Jumbo. But who would race against you knowing they wouldn't get near you. Walter was it your Jumbo at the 1986 Ausie champs at Raymond terrace? I have video footage of that bike in action.
