Hi, thanks for that , is it documented somewhere I can copy for future reference , we did have a question asked at meeting about that pre 75 Montesa with laydown shocks, when queried the  owner said it had been accepted at the last National meeting.
thanks again

Tech Talk / Re: Effect of intake position on piston port motor
« on: August 20, 2014, 08:20:31 pm »
Hi,
Side pipes little and large  have a long inlet manifold ; 77mm top side  , single port motors have a shorter manifold 43.5mm , a 250 twinport has a very long one , too hard to find right now, but ,looks longer than a sidepipe one  , but I do have a new from the "Dave Bickers" shed that is very short about 45 mm
long ones for more pulling power great for European mud , the shorter ones give more top end at the expense of low down tractability ,
cheers

General Discussion / Re: What s the differences between MT and Cr125
« on: July 10, 2014, 11:27:48 am »
Hi,
remember an MT 5 speed box wider road  ratios, CR speed really close, 6 speed
the more you make the MT into a CR the more bits you need that are from a CR ,
Barrel Head Carb Pipe Ignition Gearbox for starters
A wise man once told me " if you want a fast Race bike start with a fast  Race bike "
cheers and good luck

Hi ,
Get yourself an MT and a CR parts books , you will be surprised how little will interchange,
Dead MT's are cheap and easy to buy , Dead CR125's are not, for a  very good reason,
I've had my CR for nearly 20 years, fantastic little bike.
cheers
