I believe that only eleven were brought into this country in 1973.Good luck finding one.
You might try American Ebay, they come up on there sometimes.

Hi Paco,
It should normally just slide off the gear stick shaft unless the shaft is bent.If it is bent you may be able to put the gearstick back on and while holding the gearstick up as far as it will go,you might be able to jiggle(technical term)the shaft with the selector and the sidecase off as one.

Don't go near Newie Platers,(both of them)plenty of horror stories with them.
You were lucky getting some other poor buggers bits,It gets nasty when some other buggers got some of your prized bits and the owner of the place puts the heavies on you because you want your parts back and he has no idea who owns what.  Never again.

Degrease them thoroughly and put them in a bucket of Molases mixed with water at 4:1(ie 4 water -1 molases) leave the bucket outside(it smells) for a week or more. The mixture only eats rust.
Molases can be bought cheaply at your local farm produce store.
I  use it to clean up all my rusty parts, works a treat.

WARNING Do not use on alloys or magnesium,it will dissolve them too.

Cross the Electrex off your list,a friend bought one and it didn't work properly. After much heartache he got it tested and found it had a crazy advance curve which made the bike run poorly. No reply,no refund and no communication from the English supplier. An expensive paperweight.

It was bought from Victoria and is an original Aussie Astro not a US import as such.It is a M195 but has a M136 engine fitted. The matching engine came with the bike and needs an overhaul. The 136 engine runs, but is in poor condition and needs an overhaul as well.We have all the parts, just the time to do it is missing.Hopefully it will be a runner for next year.
The 195(250) has the long stroke engine(64mm) so it is possible to bolt a 360 cylinder on to it.

Hi Tim,
For the reeds to work ,you need to have the windows in the piston. Its a normal piston with the addition of the windows.
