Dearest Mark
I've missed you, A wealth of information as usual, can just enlighten us all about the statement " it turns a competitive Pre 65 bike , into a non competitive Pre70 bike"
Is it the Mk4 metisse ?
A B44 ?
A Cheney B44?
All of the above , some of the above , or none of the above,(A competitive Pre 65 bike)
Looking forward to catching up at CD6 (if you are going )

Hi
Oggy Doggy, love your optimism, build a Triumph Rickman Metisse for under $8000!, I built a Pat French (MRD) Triumph 650 Metisse, I must have f*****d up big time with the money I ended up spending, give us an idea what you  are going to spend $ 8000 on.

Hi jimg1au,
If you are trying to decide between a 500 and 650 , you will be always chasing a 650 ,at least to the first corner,on a 500 ,you'll have a bigger smile on a 650 even just listening to it ,still a great range of go fast bits for 650 unit motors,
oh yes I just happen to have a excellent set of matching cases  from a 63 6T, first unit year, email me

Hi
oggy doggy, , re hard to start Triumph Metisse 650, mine has been the easiest starting bike I have ever built, a couple of tips to guarantee you won't have a problem , MIKUNI,& PVL,  I'm afraid to even look at the kickstart in case it starts all by itself ! Hot or Cold , 1st kick  if you set it up right . leave the rollers to those who own a CCM  or those who can't tune a two stroke

Hi
Sorry Noel wasn't trying to be negative , QVMX has been telling us the track will be pre75 friendly,  I thought it might mean they would be changing something, like they are at CD6
I presume all you guys who say slow down at the jumps aren't riding pre 75 bikes,
maybe I'll have go across to dark side and join those big wooses who can't ride real Vintage MXers and have to have bikes that have 12 inch suspension

Hi
I think its a great track, always well prepared , but if  you ask the pre 75 Guys who go real fast, they do bend forks ,blow shocks ,break spokes, even at my slow speed Iv'e blown two sets of rears and bent two set of forks  I,m not going fast enough to break spokes .  I know some will say just ride to the track conditions,
I agree with the comments  sun prarie jimmy "build the track to suit the fast guys only the fast guys are happy" ,(and maybe only the fast guys will enter)
I'll be going regardless

Hi ,
I was hoping to get an official  answer / response to the question ; will there be a track change to suit the pre 60,65,70,75, group of bikes ?, from either the Sunshine MX club or QVMX ,
I understand there will be a track change to suit pre 70 at CD6,

Hi,
Thanks, Yes topic "slightly covered" , I was hoping for an "Official" reply  to clarify the unofficial rumours that no changes will be made to accommodate the short travel ,ie; 7 inch front, 4 inch rear  bikes

Hi
Does the Sunshine MC or QVMX club have a plan for a different track to be used at the Australian Classic Titles, for the limited travel vintage MXers ,(pre 60, 65, 70, 75.) or will they be required to compete on the Modern MX track .

Suzuki / Re: PE400 self igniting
« on: April 26, 2009, 07:09:46 pm »
Hi
if you have a 2 stroke that runs erratic , usually just after you kickstart it , when it is both hot and worn not only is it "dieseling" I'll bet it is also running backwards as well , it doesn't require throttle , spark or ignition  it is actually using the oilly exhaust system for fuel , and the hot cylinder and the hot carbon deposits in the combustion chamber to cause a "glow plug" effect to make it run, ( backwards or frontwards) the motor will stop if you select a gear and stall it , hard to do as the motor wont respond to  the throttle, , or by putting your hand over the exhaust to stop the oxygen being sucked in through the muffler/exhaust.
If you understand an ignition combustion engine , that is one that uses an ignition system that provides a spark to ignite the  flamable fuel /air mixture , and then the compression combustion motor that uses heat via high compression ie; a diesel engine, to combust the combustable fuel/ air mixture,it will make diagnosis easier.
