Finally finished the lists and uploaded them to Magento . So when you have project , even if it is  odd  or hard to get stuff , check here , it is most likely there .  Click on the pic and the complete list will appear .  If you like to order just click "buy" and enter the dimensions in the REMARK section in the checkout section. The dimension chosen , will then become the part number . Or if it is easier , just call with the part number (dimensions ) you have found on the list .This is what we stock , nothing more , nothing less. Thanks .  http://store.suspensionshop.org/springs/shock-spring-linear.html

Has anyone experimented with Mikuni slide Cutaways? I use 2.5 at the moment . What would 2.0 or 3.0 do ?

Tech Talk / Plastic restoring question
« on: February 20, 2017, 10:47:22 AM »
Normally all my toys have a fiber glass or Metal tank . But finally I get around to restore my 86 race bike . They only made 35 of those bikes (EML Jumbo) and therefore shrouds , side panels and tank are no longer available .They are in top shape , just dull and scratched from wear . The mud guards are Acerbis and will be replaced with new ones . I did hydro blast the tank and side panels  and they are Perl white again , but not as smooth as what it was new . I used 1200 wet paper and it got much better . The question now is : Was there a sealer used from new ? Or is there a sealer available now to finish this project off?

Tech Talk / Mikuni Question
« on: January 15, 2017, 08:20:05 PM »
I have some issues with my carby settings on the 32mm round slides . The bike starts easy , it screams top end , but around 5 mm lift the the engine (3 x 250 cc ) starts to four stroke like if it was very rich . But as soon as you go another 2-3 mm in lift , the power band comes in and all is clean . I dropped the needle to the lowest clip and  and it improved , but not enough . I think the pilot is OK , but lowest point of the needle is not .Mikuni does not offer different needles for this carb.  Could it be the cut away . At the moment it has 2.5  and no others are available . If I turned down the 2.5 Slide  by 0.5 mm , would that make approximately a 2.0  and lean it off ? I know its a bit of bush mechanics , but am I on the right track ?

Tech Talk / PD Fork Valve question
« on: December 18, 2016, 12:08:33 PM »
The time has come again to make another series of PROMAX PD Fork Valves.http://store.suspensionshop.org/maico/mx/1970-1979/79-79-mc-250-pd-fork-valve.html That is also the time to tweak the drawings and make improvements, if needed. There are many out there globally and doing a good job already. I would welcome any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism or hints for improvements and changes from you, now, before the machining is done. The areas that can be changed (if needed), are:
•   Ports
•   Lift plate free bleed
•   Size in OD of main body
•   C of spring (at the moment we use 7N/mm and 12N /mm )
•   Materials used
Thank you

Tech Talk / YZ H rear springs
« on: December 05, 2016, 03:29:53 PM »
I wasnt going to do another run of them , but lately a few orders and interest show that we could take the punt and do one more run . They will be made to suit the original shock , as well as the Promax Hi_low speed . Coils  are progressively wound  and will cover riders from 85 kg to 115 kg . The material is chrome silicone of course . If you like to secure one for your self , then 50% Deposit is required upfront now. ;) Please PM or call . Like I said , this would be very likely the last run of them .
