Title: Triumph Bonnieville 750 dip stick ?
Post by: jimson on September 05, 2016, 05:31:57 AM
G'day viewers, I know it's not dirt bike related, but I have a 1976 Bonnieville oil in the frame model. The oil cap between the seat & fuel tank should have a dip stick & mine doesn't. So I need measurements so I can make one, length of the dip stick & were the oil level is please. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks jimson

You can probably buy them brand new. Try Classic All Parts in Sydney. They got a website.
If not just fill it up so you can just see the oil level when looking down into the frame.  about 2-3 inches from the top. Its not too critical. They take a little over 2 liters normally.

Hi Garry,
I'm away at the moment but I have an OIF Bonnie, and would happily measure it for you when I get home if you're still stuck,
Pete.

That would be great Pete & thanks, I'd rather put something together than buy a new one mate.
