'78 engine is better than the '76, no idea why anyone would go for the '76 which is much harder to get parts for.  I'll play the devils advocate here, the video of it starting first kick with mandatory reference to the stale fuel & all, is IMO totally staged & utter BS. Have a good look at the photo's, the simple fact that the shock shafts are painted black (not overspray), gives a fair indication of the type of "restoration" the bike's had. You'd want to have a good look at it in the flesh before bidding decent money, but then again, maybe I'm wrong & the cynic in me has taken control.

Gotta love this bit

For Sale is this one of a kind Suzuki RM 125 1978 C 2 that has gone through a full re-build to a very high standard and was designed and built with the intention of factory racing but management decided it was far to nice to race

I guess it depends on what you consider a high std  ::)

I think the coach bolts mounting the shocks are a nice factory touch (BBQ factory )

And that special factory orange sealant is so much better on a race bike than those dreadful genuine gaskets   ::)
Its only old bike racing FFS get over yourselves

Oscar nominations must be just around the corner?

Apart from the look of amazement when it starts, I like the half dozen stabs at the killswitch before he just lets it stall. And then presses the button one more time.

There was a bit of time and money throw into this thing.  Not sure on the chrome pegs, rear brake lever and kick start.  The fully painted shock shafts will protect them from rust for years to come... and whats with the forks that have been slid half way up the triple clamps... i wouldnt say the bike is "fully race prepped" unless the track was turning tight circles in a living room.

Gasket Goo poring out of the exhaust and cylinder base. Screws on L/H side of motor have been painted over while clutch cover screws look to be hardware style pan Philips heads.

The classic looked like the cup-head bolt used in the bottom of the rear shocky mount, straight out of the fence post into the swingarm... works a charm

What's with the rear shock shafts being painted the same rattle can black as the springs and shock body. I thought they were supposed to be chrome or was that a factory performance mod??
