Freaky/Davey - thanks.  Nah I have an excellent YZB (360) but I can't afford another resto at the moment and was playing with the idea of setting up a set of US Yellow bits for her - hence interested in the tank the other day John  :'(.  I can get guards easy, have a set of spare side panels and of course YZB tanks are scarce.  Freaky what do you mean 4 points on the A - on the B there are only the 2 "donuts"/"dowels/rubber thingys at the front of the tank and then the rest is held on by straps.  The MXB tank looked similar and if I cut the back bolt mount off and just used the strap I was hoping it would fit?  The MXB was also monoshock so thought it would have enough room under the tank as the frame appeared similar there.  davey - what do you mean centre mount?

I also spotted a fair MXB tank for $50 plus postage?  Unfortunately at work and can't go and have a close look at mine.

Freakhead , any transaction between Albrid is between him and me . What I paid for was for good bike in good condition. It was worth the money and both paties where happy. Thats the reason I keep deleting my posts after two weeks or so , so that dickheads can not requote , distorte or archive things.
If you want to muddle in trash, and on your level thats your buisiness , but please dont drag others into it .

Dude you have got 'serious' issues.

the only merit in your post is that you had the decentcy to at least use your real Log in this time. ::)

Rossco, there are 2 donuts at the front and 2 donuts in the middle and then the straps hold it on , I reckon a MXB tank would fit with very little modification.

Freaky what do you mean 4 points on the A - on the B there are only the 2 "donuts"/"dowels/rubber thingys at the front of the tank and then the rest is held on by straps.

maybe thats the case on the ""B but my "A" has 2 on the tank at the front, and the frame has 2 more about 1/3 of the way up from the seat, so it wont twist.  Might be differant on the Mono shocks then, just though it might be worth a look.  I Have a MX250B tank down at the property i can measure up if that helps, or maybe davey can slip one on a B if he has access to one.

anyway - back onto real things.  Thanks for the help gents.  On the YZB it only has the two rubbers at the front - and maybe a tube of rubber around the frame back part way down but mine doesn't have this so I have just found out.  It just then uses the straps to hold it all down - so after your info and Davey trying one out I reckon the one I was looking at is a goer.

Again gents - thanks for the help.

Oh - just a thought - Freaky you don't want to part with that MXB tank do you - or is it on a bike?

ta guys.
