Wanted / 1984 CR 500 Clutch Cover Wanted
« on: December 05, 2019, 09:18:39 AM »
Hi
I am after a 1984 CR500 clutch Cover, prefer undamaged / repaired as I have one of those now looking for a good one.
Also if anyone knows which tank strap of the more modern bikes will suit an 84 cr 500 tank. The water cooled ones are too long and I was told a CRF150R would work  if anyone knows that would be helpful.

HI
I am wondering if there is a link to a 84 CR500 page with all the bits people have found that fit or need doing etc
or helpful sites to find obscure parts for the old girl.

Tech Talk / YZ 125 D specs & adjustments re:servicing
« on: August 19, 2013, 04:39:53 PM »
Hi Guys
Anyone still have a manual with things like how much oil in the forks, engine etc
and chain adjustment, standard sprokets (12,51 from memory but I am old now)
any other stuff that comes in handy for servicing bike.

Also Float height might come in handy too.

Thanks again

Bike Talk / What bikes are eligible for what classes
« on: August 14, 2013, 09:13:10 AM »
Hi Guys
can anyone help me or point me in the right dierection, I tried searching but not sure of the different answers I have found, and different things people have told me

Pre 75 - is an xl350 76 eligible for MX? in pre 75

Evo - How can a new maico 81 (2012 model) be eligible but a cr500 air cooled motor in a converted twin shock frame (cr 480 RC modified frame with fox shocks) with a twin leading shoe brake not be eligible?

How does the YZ series fit in to evo if they never had twin shocks? can you race a 465G in Evo? what is the cut off for the YZ's

Finally pre78 -  YZ D is the cut off correct? as they were 77 models and is methanol allowed in pre 78 MX because it was in 78 when I raced my 125D on Methanol (still have the carby with the jets ready to go in storage for 36 years!)

Any help appreciated and sorry if this is a question that is overly repeated but internet savvy I am not. I still can't work how to put a picture in a question.

Introductions / GDay All
« on: November 02, 2012, 09:14:43 AM »
Hello, I am an old MXer from the late 70's early eighties and can no longer handle the new stuff, I am currently searching for Honda CR's to race in pre 75, pre 85 and evo. The search continues
I currently have a nice unrestored MT250, which is no longer registered and I ride around the farm for fun.
I have restored a 74 XL250 and sold it to a VMX'er
A 74 CR250 which I sold and is in a trophy room somewhere
A 76 CR250 again I sold that too.
I realise these were all mistakes but I was unemployed at the time.
Currently I own a 2003 KTM640 Enduro, that is my main transport and is still going strong with 40,000K's on it
I have a 2011 CR500AF Service Honda, personally imported from USA (Cheaper than buying local)
A nice unrestored MT250 K0 but it has new non original shocks and CR250 1974 model Forks.
I'm ready to retire and spend more time in the shed playing with Bikes but first I need to buy more bikes!!!
I hope I can contribute and help others.
Cheers
Enzo
