83-85 kdx250 Rear Guard Needed
« on: November 22, 2013, 04:56:10 PM »

Hi,

l need an excellent to outstanding as new condition rear guard for my kdx, a standard factory one, l have a new DC one and its not really me. I've been keeping a lookout for one for a while but nothing so far.

lm probably prepared to pay over the odds too, but it has to be in tip top condition.

Thanks.

kdx Geoff

I think the 175 of the same years also fit. Someone else might be able to confirm that. I used to think they were different and missed out on a perfect one. The 175 ones or in much better condition because the engine doesn't have enough power to hurt it.
Cheers, Grahame

You be thinking of the 200 Grahame, the 175 was different.

I would be wary of using a good original for a rider, my 175 had a good original but faded rear guard but it just disintegrated because the plastic had gone brittle over time, the headlight shroud went the same way.

Yep, that's right Geoff, I meant the equivalent year 200's. Too much wine.

Thanks for the model list Geoff.
The rear guard l have on the bike at the moment is cracked (not brittle) though serviceable.

Maybe l should try to find 2  :)
