Can anyone advise of the correct eye to eye length of the rear shocks for a PE250B? I'm thinking 365mm? The stroke length would be handy too.  TIA.

General Discussion / Need a bike moved from Retro Expo Dargle to Melbourne.

Like the subject asks can anyone transport a wheel-less bike from the Resto Expo 11/12 March at Dargle NSW to Melbourne or somewhere close by to Melb? It's a short travel mx'er with the forks and wheels out so won't take too much room. Happy to discuss renumeration or trades.

swingarm with chain guide $150
rear shocker. Has damping. $250
Front forks. Straight but have some rust pitting. Straight and repairable - usable in a pinch. $120
Triple clamp set. $50
Front wheel with brake plate. $100
CDI. Condition unknown $50
Rear brake pedal - alloy. $40
Airbox with filter cage and inlet boot (not rooted) $80
Engine bottom end. No clutch parts, no covers. Crank spins freely as do the gearbox shafts. No case damage from tossed chain.$300
Cylinder head. $30
Rear wheel with brake plate . Rim in good condition (negligible rot) and no broken sprocket mount lugs. $150

Frame and engine numbers match.
Located Melbourne.

Vinduro / 2015 Harrow Vinduro, July 25-26.

Well, only 2 vinduro's in Vic (Beaufort 9/10 May and Hopetoun 20/21 June) as 'warm-ups' before the Harrow classic in July! Best do these two as riding conditioning 'coz you'll need your wits about you if you want to survive the bogs, rivers, greasy logs, fuel bowl emptying open runs and navigation tribulations!

The Europeans took the guernsey last year as, not unexpectedly, the pre-eminent enduro machinery. The riders peeled off an outstanding number of cumulative laps, soundly smashing the Oriental machines riders paltry efforts.

It seems that this year the riders of the Asian leaf blowers have underhandedly lobbied some members of the VERi committee to try and turn back the clock on last years result by having the Harrow course RUN IN THE REVERSE DIRECTION this year! I suspect that Mr GMC has had something to do with this as it seems he has abandoned his Factory Ride BMW175 to putter about on some not quite ripe green thingy and it appears he is looking for any 'advantage' (perceived or otherwise). Not to worry, he patently has cognitive issues if he can't recognise having been on a good thing with the mighty Bimmer.

Anyone had any dramas posting ads lately? I've posted there before without a hitch but since the latest kerfuffle I have tried 3 times to post a 'Wanted' ad with no luck. Tried emailing Mark as well with no reply.

In a weak moment I took a little notice of a TV ad by a insurance company (because it featured a bike!) and was a bit horrified to see them crash an RL250 into the side of a bus! It was meant to be humourous but I wasn't laughing! Shocked I tells ya! Couldn't they have used a bike that no-one would miss, like a IT or Hodaka or such?
