Shannons Insurance
« on: March 24, 2011, 07:55:45 PM »
Stolen/Steal : to take......due to fire,theft,water,accidental.......

Have just insured three vmx dirt bikes (with roadbike already included) for $265 a year.
The Customer service fellow was Lex, whom said he was at CD7 and says he will be there again at CD8.
The Queensland branch pushed for Vintage dirt bikes to be included in there policies across Oz and I believe its a great move towards our piece of mind in our pride and joy  8)

Hey, thanks for that ;)
What sort of insured value was stated for $265 PA. premium?
"light weight, and it works great"  :)

I have three bikes insured with Shannon's. Great service and good value, even after having my everyday ride stolen, my no claim bonus and premium went back to normal after 12 months. They insured my older bikes for my nominated value without any dramas. They also offer decent insurance for bike parts and riding gear. Miles in front of the regular insurers as far as being in touch with their market.  :) :)

HAd my MX and Dt on Shannons for nearly 10 years, they where the only ones to take them on, a fixed price payout + salvage rights.
about 3 years ago i added my Van , my car and then my house and then the contents.   Every thing i have is now with them and the premium where cheaper or better policy than i was getting with all the others ( and they were all over the place with providers) now i get one bill and it always happens in MAy so i know i pay for JUne year.  Couldnt be happier.

I had a really good chat to the Shannons blokes at CD7 and have got my 4 cars and 4 bikes insured with them.
Never had to make a claim, but always received excellent service and pricing.
Unfortunately, I run a business from home, so they won't insure my home......... or my caravan...........  :-\

No matter, it's always kinda cool to speak to someone at an insurance comapny that wants to bench race like one of my mates when I call.  ;D

Yes that sure is a bonus.  ;D ;D I have encountered a bit of the same when talking about adding another bike and the conversation turns to where did it come from and I rode one of those when I was a teenager and it frightened the sh_t out of me.  :D :D

Have an existing policy with Shannons for my trike and was looking at getting cover on a couple of my more valuable VMXs.  They will cover 2 of them for $8000 each and this is for theft, fire or damage while travelling for $53 each, the best part is adding them to the original policy with bonuses for extra bikes it lowers the amount extra I pay.  It works out to be  only a bit over $17 a year each for the 2 VMXs.

We are currently doing a claim after the EML came off Popeyes trailer on the way to a display. He had loaded it the night before and is pretty sure it was tampered with during the night. Some other bits and pieces from his back yard had been moved or taken.
Shannons have so far been very helpful and the cover appears to be exactly what we required so all is great.
I wonder if the do flood cover as it's beginning to rain here again!! :D :D :D

Is that $265 for 4 bikes full comprehensive?  I thought that would be about average for 1.

Im not arguing with Shannons at that prices.
It was actually 151 with credits from the rbike.I put the phone bill in there as well  ::)  ::) yer blonde moment..
The most expensive was the RM79 at 57 $ a year.Im thinking the more you get covered the less it is..
