Dandaloo Classic - Livin the dream!
« on: May 19, 2013, 09:13:31 PM »
1st and 2nd June 2013-Fans of Vintage Moto Cross are in for a real treat this June long weekend, when the Vintage Motocross Club of WA (VMXWA) holds its annual “Dandaloo Classic” at Narrogin over 2 days on Saturday and Sunday June 1 and 2, 2013. Big fields of Pre 1975 solos and sidecars have entered for this event with nominations including many past motorcycle legends as well as a few younger up and coming riders. The Narrogin Circuit is a genuine 1970’s Scramble track which has been revived to perfection, to suit the pre ’75 machines. The “Dandaloo Park” facility is situated only 5 minutes from the Narrogin Town Centre and boasts all amenities for competitors and fans. Come and join us on June 1 and 2 this year; enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of a bygone era. Spectators are free and most welcome. The club also welcomes new members to share this unique experience. More details at www.vmxwa.com
article from mwa media officer.

Camp sites pretty full and VMX enthusiasts around the fire !
Big weekend ahead !
Got 80km down the road and tuned into abc great southern radio in time to hear the vice president interview. What a plug for vmx  8) came across really well.Wayne the vice preso thought he might do a big studio type interveiw, but the five minutes was tops.
Pits and camp ground now filling with race due to start at midday.
Phil on the hill has returned from claiming another victory at Lake Gardner SA,always plenty of race talk this morning.
CZ"d out in force today.
70 riders signed on for Saturdays Capacity Racing.
What a day.Lock stock and barrels on the startlines, big bore, little bore,250.Squeezed three rounds in after lunch.Finished at five-well deserved beers tonight.

Had a very big surprise visit from Heaven today, fantastic to see them make the journey to visit us all here. That is also a reminder to you all !!.let us know your coming and we'll have a ride ready for you.
Time to hang up the high vis vest and crack the esky lid.
cheers A

Race Day two is a bit slow this morning, tweeking old bikes and even older bodies for a 9am practise run. After yesterdays later eleven am start.
Just looking around the pits this morning in a over cast heavey dew,i count eight riders under 25.
New bike arrived for todays riding, include an AJS,BSA and a CZ all in beautiful condition.
more later.
Weather just perfect for scramblin.
Race Order
over 55"s
A grade
pre60
B grade
pre65/70
C grade
s/cars,six of these..
spare time before pack up and evening meal gathering down at local footy club,is the all in with a staggered start.Slower(c grader) being first off the start line.
13 on the line.off they go with midpack rider quickly gaining the front cz and honda.cz stalled in corner with xl and tm leaning in for a lay down also.that left the gate open for the oldest bike (66 Husqvarna)) and oldest rider in the 'all in' to gain a lead and win it..Well done watto hva.
Hope you too had a great vmx weekend. 8)
Happy birthday Snowy and Red Alert
