Question for Husky Experts.
What Ignition System is the direct replacement for Motoplat.
Please note that this the same Type as on the 83 250 MAICO.
It has a built in Advance curve.
The Rotor has the Number stamped 0619004.
I have used MZ/PVL and HPI Systems on Maicos.
No problems.
Can some help with the best direct replacement.

on cafe husky, someone was getting the moto splats rewound ok or you could chase up an SEM for it (might have to do that a few times 8))
i cant help you with a direct accessory replacement but Big K on the forum might

Why do you want to replace it? If it's crook, get it fixed, easily done & cheaper than a replacement. Everyone seems to bag the Mototplats but I've not had any issues with them. I personally hate PVL ignitions. If you must replace it, have a look at the HPI website.

Both my Husky's run Power Dynamo (was MZB) systems from Germany. You might need to check their website for fitment. Measure the dia where the taper starts and check the chart. http://www.powerdynamo.biz/deu/systems/lists/husqvarna.php (http://www.powerdynamo.biz/deu/systems/lists/husqvarna.php)
They have an auto advance curve, and if you need it, an awesome lighting output. Super easy to fit and time up. I am well impressed with them.

Just an aside .... the 1983 CR's should have an internal flywheel ignition. The XC would have the external flywheel Motoplat. The WR's had the SEM external flywheel set up.
