Here's another from Dutch on The JAP engine page

Here are 2 pics from the Australian HIGGS Jap.
The engine is a Jap bottomhalf, but on top a modified Neil Street SR4 Valve head. Note that there is NO camchain but the cams are beveldriven.
Also interesting the fuel injector, and the frame is platinum plated. Is there more information from this HIGGS engine?
   
I've only posted 1 pic, but aren't Aussies and Speedway engine builders an ingenious lot, eh ?

Here are some more Aussie (Jawa) engines but what are they.
Take a look at this video and there you see 3 different Jawa 4 Valve conversion from Mauger - Crump and?                                                                                                                                                          The question is what 4V conversion are these, SERCO?   SR4? or IVAN TIGHE.

What a great bit of video, Dutch !!
Unfortunately I can't help much except to say that Ivan's bike, the first one shown, appears to be  a version of the Neil Street/ Ivan Tighe OHC 4V conversion, very similar to the one I saw at in the pits at Liverpool Speedway ridden by Phil Crump.   Firko ??

That's what it looks like to me too Foss. I always thought Ivan only rode straight Jawas not conversions but perhaps he rode the Street/Serco in that interim period prior to the 4v Jawa but one would assume that as Jawa's #1 works rider, Ivan would be aboard an 894 twin cammer in 1976.

I don't think that there was twin cam speedway 894 bike in 1976.  The first time that Ivan Mauger used a 894 Jawa was in the longtrack final  12-9-1976 in Marianske Lazne (CZ)  the 894 speedwaybike came later (think early 1977)
Any ideas about that Billy Sanders Dohc 4V conversion (with the black cover) in the video.
