For Sale / SWM 250 TF1 Full resto- for sale

Fastidiously built from the ground up by local SWM collector and past expert Enduro rider and his mechanic from his treasure trove of SWM NOS and refurbished components, to his ride  spec. from the day , including leading axle forks, this is as close to a new bike that you are likely to find . I bought this from the builder over 12 months ago , scratching the SWM itch that I’d had since I first saw one in the 70’s , but could never afford. Other than starting it regularly I’ve never ridden it and I realise I won’t ( when I’ve got other good bikes that have lost their cherry) so it’s  on the market.
As I’ve done none of the work on this I’ve contacted the builder who is willing to talk to genuine buyers about the details of the build. I’m of the understanding that everything including engine, suspension, brakes, wheels and all appurtenances was either rebuilt or replaced with new or new old stock and I’ve got no reason to think otherwise. It starts within a couple of kicks, sounds strong and tight. Check the video clip.
Asking price $8900 is firm.

Maico / Maico GME 250 radiators

I’m wanting to replace the oem plastic capped radiators on my 85 Maico 250 with all alloy units . Can’t find a supplier ( no surprises there-  ) Is there anyone that’s been down this track before or can recommend a radiator mob that can do one off work .

Husqvarna 500 XC 1984.
 I've owned this for a few years now and have had my fun with this one. No issues - buy and ride. Top end just done with Wossner first oversize . Leak down tested - ok. About 10 heat cycles on the top end with short runs at Broadford mx track in November 16 all good. The previous owner recoated the frame and rebuilt the suspension and bottom end, but didn't ride it . I set it up my way with renthal bars , bark busters , new genuine magura controls , acerbis headlight and rear guard/tail light, new tyres/tubes, hva easy pull clutch arm, hva longer gear shift , new o ring chain, hva sprockets , hva chain slipper, new cables, new brake pads, cleaned and re jetted / reset the carby, new air cleaner , NOS motoplat coil, independently re earthed the ignition from source to coil , rewired the lighting and included a voltage regulator and brake switch , new motor mounts, regreased/ replaced bearings as required , repacked the silencer , recoated the engine and exhaust ( baked) , new high volume fuel tap, later model kick start, manual decompressor head mod. Refer to the utube links (startup 1/17 and Hopetoun Vinduro ) and photos . Offers over $5800 (firm - don't bother offering less, i don't have to sell and will happily keep riding it if I can't get a least that figure) .

Vinduro / Vintage Class A4DE

Vintage Class for A4DE.
With the ISDE introducing a Vintage class for 2016 ( last two days, 30 year old bikes- tbc), I’m wondering what rider support there would be here for a similar arrangement for A4DE. I understand from Chris Bray, the 2016 organiser, that it was considered , but at this stage, not included it, mainly because they didn’t want to have a special course suitable for the vintage bikes. I wouldn’t have thought this was needed, more of an issue with the riders making it not the bikes. Cost might be an issue considering the entry for the full four day is around $700, plus comp license, transponder…..I imagine the entry for two days will still be a fair wack. Europe obviously has a healthy comp vinduro scene already, with enough numbers to support a Vintage ISDE class. He said if there is enough genuine interest to support the effort then it could go back on the table. What do you think?
