The bike museum at Nabiac, 1.5 hrs north of Newcastle, has an extensive display of Dale Buggins. The display includes his riding clothes as well as his "cape", not too shabby a tribute actually.

I think I might shout myself and a couple of buds a day up there soon, especially since Broad-ford has just been canned for me :-[

I thought the Keyte report was extremely saddening.
I didn't realise at the time, what an effort he made ... nor his achievements.   I was tooling around
on dirt bikes, but have no particular memories of Dale at the time.

REFLECTION
It always seems to take me a couple of decades to understand what's gone before me, in earlier
life - with regards significant events.  Vietnam, Watergate, Graham Kennedy, eight Maicos in the top ten
of 1978 Grand National, etc

The poor kid.  So sad for the family.   Godspeed

There is help out there of you need it or want it..

Yeah, there is plenty that will tell ya i need help.
A couple of good apprentices or a decent slave wouldn't go astray ;D

And for that mater a decent physiologist to help my woman finally get with the "Mick Program" wouldn't hurt either.

I heard an anouncement at one of the Mallee rallies in the late 70's that Dale Buggins was supposed to be racing in it, but I couldn't find his name in the program. Wondered if i heard wrong at the time or was this his stage name?

Watching him in that clip, he looks a bit reserved and uncomfortable with the attention
It got me wondering if he was pressured into performing??
