What carburettor should I be looking for that can be tuned for methanol and pre65 legal?

If you go Amal I think it would have to be a monobloc type as concentric were released in 1966 (from their website)

VM Mikuni is completely legal and presently fitting one to my BSA which may someday see the light of day ::)

16.15.8 Acceptable machines and components: Pre 65 Solo
16.15.8.6 Carburettors of any type pre 75 round slide may be used.

Hey Steve, I didn't think B40 and pre 65 went in the same sentence together :-\
I hope they do because I'll be in there with you.

Amal monoblock and Concentric mk1 are both allowed in pre 60/65.  The concentric is still available new from the UK, & reasonably priced.

If the rules as stated by HeavenVMX are correct I'll def be going for a Mikuni, I've found them easy to set up before, off hand what size should I be after?
Yeah Pete, that old chestnut again about dizzy and points models.
Initially mine will be in the Elstar for Pre70 and Slider classes until I get my B50 engine sorted then the B40 will go into a C15 frame so we both can give the pre65's a run.
Thanks to everyone for your input.

Steve, I am running a 32mm Amal on my B44. I did try a 34mm mikuni on methanol but it felt a bit too big.
